SleepIQ Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Wheema handles information in connection with SleepIQ, our local AI sleep tracking application. SleepIQ helps users understand sleep habits, review sleep score reports, monitor audio-derived snore and breathing insights, record dreams, and build calmer bedtime routines.
1. Wellness and Medical Disclaimer
SleepIQ is intended for personal wellness information only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. Sleep scores, sleep stage estimates, snore and breathing insights, dream interpretation, tips, and summaries are informational and should not replace guidance from a qualified health professional.
2. Information Processed by SleepIQ
Depending on how you use the app, SleepIQ may process the following types of information:
- Sleep session data: sleep score, time in bed, estimated sleep stages, sleep duration, session timing, notes, and trend history.
- Audio-derived sleep data: snore and breathing event estimates, timing, volume, duration, frequency, and short clips you choose to keep for review.
- Dream and journal content: dream notes, interpretation results, symbols, emotions, meaning, and related reflection content you save.
- Bedtime routine data: audio preferences, reminder settings, sleep story, meditation, music, white noise, and other in-app routine choices.
- Account information: email address, authentication status, user identifier, and optional profile details such as username, age, gender, or lifestyle if you choose to create an account or sign in.
- Consent and app records: accepted policy versions, app version, platform, language, device installation identifiers where used, and timestamps needed to record which Terms of Service and Privacy Policy versions you accepted.
3. Local-First Storage
Sleep recordings and audio-derived sleep data are designed to remain on your device by default. Local sleep history, dream entries, app settings, reminders, and cached files are controlled by the device and available in the app unless you clear them, delete the app, or use available in-app controls.
4. Optional Account Sync
If you create an account or sign in, selected account details, profile data, summary metrics, and synced sleep records may be sent to Wheema-managed backend services so your insights can follow your account across devices. Signing out may leave synced data in the cloud until you delete the account data.
5. AI Analysis
SleepIQ may use AI features to generate sleep quality summaries, dream interpretation, tips, and other explanatory content. Raw sleep audio is not intentionally transmitted for AI analysis. AI features use local processing where available or aggregated values and user-provided text needed to provide the requested feature.
AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for deciding how to use it, and you should seek professional advice for medical, mental health, or safety concerns.
6. Permissions
SleepIQ may request microphone access to monitor sleep sounds and generate audio-derived sleep insights. It may request notification permissions for sleep reminders and bedtime routines. On supported platforms, it may use background or battery-related permissions so overnight recording can continue while the device is locked. You can manage these permissions through your device settings.
7. Sharing and Controls
SleepIQ may include user-initiated sharing, export, or review features. You control when to save, delete, export, or share information from the app. Always review exported or shared information before sending it to another person or service.
8. Data Deletion and Choices
You can erase local sleep data from in-app settings where available, remove local files by deleting the app or clearing app data, and manage profile details in the account screen. If you create an account, SleepIQ includes an account deletion flow designed to remove your cloud profile and authentication account. You can also review the web-based SleepIQ account deletion instructions.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for account records and cloud-backed data. No system is perfectly secure, and you should protect your device, operating system account, app credentials, and exported files.
10. Third-Party Services
We do not sell sleep, wellness, dream, or account data, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers. Where cloud-backed features are used, service providers may process data only to operate the requested feature, such as authentication, database hosting, account deletion, sync, consent records, or AI-assisted summaries.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests related to SleepIQ, email customersupport@wheema.com or contact Wheema through the form on our Privacy Policy contact section.
